Ralph A. Innocenti, 81

Ralph A. Innocenti, 81, of Beverly died Friday, January 8th, 2016 following a long illness, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband to his wife Janice (White) Innocenti.

Born in Beverly, he was the son of late Teresa (Marcos) and Rafaello Innocenti and was a lifelong resident . He was a graduate of the Beverly High School Class of 1952. He joined the Navy and served for his country during the Korean Conflict. Upon his return, he married his wife and enrolled in a Machinist Program with the Trade School.

Ralph was employed at the United Shoe Machinery (The Shoe) for 36 years including four with Dynapert. He worked his way to a Foreman position. After his retirement he worked at Autoroll of Middleton. He was a well-known and respected official for sports for various age levels, including football, baseball and hockey. He was a retired honorary member of the Northshore Baseball Umpires Association and the New England Football Officials Association. He was inducted in 2006 into the Intertown Baseball League Hall of Fame. Any kid that grew up in the Northshore and played sports was familiar with Ralph’s distinct strike three!!

If he was your friend, he cared about you and was always ready to trade a good joke. He loved spending time with his son’s including golfing, boating or having a clam plate and a beer at Dube’s in Salem. No coleslaw!! Ralph especially enjoyed being
with his entire family including his nieces and nephews.

Beside his loving wife of 58 years, he is survived by three sons, Peter Innocenti and his wife Dalys, of Maryland; Andrew Innocenti and his wife Ann-Marie; Gregory Innocenti and his wife Susan; one daughter Andrea Innocenti, all of Beverly; four grandchildren, Gregory, Sarah, Jason and Valerie Innocenti. He was also the brother of the late Alfred, Nello, Thomas and Eugene Innocenti,
Adele Mascioli, Antonia Astolfi and Teresa Sprague.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Friday at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M. There will be no burial. Memorial donations may be made in Ralph’s memory to the Epilepsy Foundation, 335 Main St., Wilmington, MA 01887.
