Hamilton 8 - M/E 1

Hamilton Generals beat Man./Essex Mariners 8-1 on Thursday.  Hamilton Generals got things started in the first inning. Hamilton Generals scored two runs when Larry Saggese singled.  Hamilton Generals notched four runs in the sixth inning. Chris Huggett, Harrison O'Brien, and Saggese all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Jake Lanciani was the winning pitcher for Hamilton Generals. He surrendered one run on three hits over six and a third innings, striking out four. Neil Simmons threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

John Mondello took the loss for Man./Essex Mariners. He surrendered four runs on one hit over two-thirds of an inning, striking out two.

Saggese, O'Brien, Lanciani, and Huggett each collected one hit to lead Hamilton Generals. Hamilton Generals was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Brian Nicoll made the most plays with seven.

Eric Chalmers went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Man./Essex Mariners in hits.

Rowley 6, Ipswich 3

Late Score Costs Ipswich Chiefs Against Rowley Rams

Ipswich Chiefs stayed in it until the end, but Rowley Rams pulled away late in a 6-3 victory on Monday. The game was tied at two with Rowley Rams batting in the top of the fifth when J. Cashman singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.

Dan Frey collected four hits in defeat. Frey doubled in the first, homered in the third, singled in the fifth, and tripled in the seventh.  Rowley Rams knotted the game up at two in the top of the fourth inning, when Lewi Lheureux homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Dave Ingraham led the Rowley Rams to victory on the mound. He went six and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on 11 hits, striking out six and walking one. Joe Martin threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Jake Greaney took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. He went seven innings, allowing six runs on 12 hits, striking out three and walking zero.  Ipswich Chiefs smacked one home run on the day. Frey put one out in the third inning.

Ipswich Chiefs tallied 11 hits on the day. Frey and RJ Libby each collected multiple hits for Ipswich Chiefs. Frey went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Ipswich Chiefs in hits.

Rowley Rams saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Anthony Conte, CJ Ingraham, Tim Moore, and Justin Bolla each had multiple hits for Rowley Rams. Rowley Rams didn't commit a single error in the field. Lheureux had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.

Townies bookend the weekend with two wins

Under the lights Friday at Historic Evans Field, Townies pitcher Mackenzie Quinn earned a complete game win over the Beverly Giants allowing three runs over seven innings. Dan Cashman suffered the loss on the mound for the Giants.

On Monday, the Townies traveled up 133 to Bialek Park in Ipswich and defeated the Chiefs 5-1 behind a complete game effort from Ethan Tanson.

Caulin Rogers hit a grand slam to cap off an 8 run first inning as the Mariners rolled to a 14 to 0 victory last night in Essex. Charlie Otterbein also chipped in a 2 run homer. Rusty Tucker struck out 15 through 6 innings.

Early Lead for Ipswich Chiefs Sets Stage for Victory Over Hamilton Generals

Ipswich Chiefs jumped out to an early lead over Hamilton Generals and took home a 4-1 victory on Monday. Ipswich Chiefs scored on a single by Jake Greaney and a single by Frank Celona in the first inning.

Greaney pitched Ipswich Chiefs to victory. He surrendered one run on seven hits over seven innings, striking out three.

Sal Guarino took the loss for Hamilton Generals. He lasted four innings, allowing nine hits and four runs while striking out two and walking one.

Ipswich Chiefs racked up nine hits on the day. Dan Leff, Alex Morris, Celona, and Greaney each managed multiple hits for Ipswich Chiefs. Greaney, Celona, Morris, and Leff each managed two hits to lead Ipswich Chiefs.

Cam Vatour led Hamilton Generals with two hits in four at bats.

M/E picked up the win in Beverly last night 11 to 3. Adam Philpott and Kellen Field each went deep. John John Mondello picked up the win and Field struck out 7 of the last 8 outs for the save.

Each team traded runs in extra innings and saw the game end in a 9-9 tie.

Topsfield 9, Ipswich 2

Topsfield Tories won big over Ipswich Chiefs 9-2 on Friday.   Ipswich Chiefs got things moving in the first inning. Frank Celona drew a walk, scoring one run.

Topsfield Tories pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Tom Budrewicz drew a walk, scoring one run, Alex Smith drew a walk, scoring one run, and Jack Miller induced Zack Lamkin to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Topsfield Tories notched three runs in the sixth inning. Lamkin, Tom Cadmus, and Anthony Selvitella powered the big inning with RBIs.  Lamkin earned the win for Topsfield Tories. He surrendered two runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out 14.  Miller took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. He allowed 11 hits and nine runs over six innings, striking out three.

Topsfield Tories hit one home run on the day. Budrewicz put one out in the first inning.  Topsfield Tories totaled 11 hits. Cadmus and Alan Nahigian all had multiple hits for Topsfield Tories. Cadmus went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Topsfield Tories in hits. Topsfield Tories was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Mike Debiasi had the most chances in the field with 14.

Rowley Rams Defeated By Hamilton Generals

Hamilton Generals got things moving in the second inning, when Brian Nicoll singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Rowley Rams evened things up at four in the bottom of the third inning. Finn Graham's sac fly scored one run for Rowley Rams.

Hamilton Generals pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Harrison O'Brien doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Rowley Rams put up three runs in the third inning. Rowley Rams batters contributing to the big inning included Justin Bolla and Graham, all driving in runs in the frame.

Luke Painchaud took the win for Hamilton Generals. He went four innings, allowing four runs on six hits, striking out three and walking zero. Phil Durgin and Hunter Willochoski entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Willochoski recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Hamilton Generals.

Dave Ingraham took the loss for Rowley Rams. He lasted four innings, allowing ten hits and five runs while striking out two and walking zero.

Rowley Rams tallied eight hits in the game. Bolla and Dimitri Hunt all managed multiple hits for Rowley Rams. Bolla went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Rowley Rams in hits.  Hamilton Generals saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game. Jake Lanciani, O'Brien, and Larry Saggese each collected multiple hits for Hamilton Generals.

Mariners 14 Giants 0

M/E picked up a 14 to 0 win last night in Essex. Marc Phinney tossed 5 scoreless for the win. Kellen Field and Peter Clark both had homeruns, while Atty. Bob Whynott reached base 3 times on 2 hits. Whynott also made a spectacular defensive play that saved multiple runs by tracking down a sharply hit line drive in the gap.

Topsfield Tories Captures Lead Early to Defeat Ipswich Chiefs

Ipswich Chiefs fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-2 loss to Topsfield Tories on Monday. Topsfield Tories took the lead on a single in the first inning.

The Ipswich Chiefs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Topsfield Tories, giving up 12 runs.  Topsfield Tories got things started in the first inning when Alan Nahigian singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.  Topsfield Tories scored four runs in the third inning. Topsfield Tories big bats were led by Nahigian and Nolan Rice, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Shane Grady led things off on the pitcher's mound for Topsfield Tories. He surrendered two runs on ten hits over six innings, striking out three.  Jake Greaney started the game for Ipswich Chiefs. He allowed 12 hits and eight runs over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Dan Frey and Alex Morris entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.

Ipswich Chiefs collected 11 hits on the day. Frey, Morris, and Corey Greaney each racked up multiple hits for Ipswich Chiefs. Morris and Frey all had three hits to lead Ipswich Chiefs.

Topsfield Tories scattered 18 hits in the game. Nahigian, Zack Lamkin, Andrew Heath, Casey Orlando, Rice, and Will Twiss each managed multiple hits for Topsfield Tories. Nahigian went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Topsfield Tories in hits. Topsfield Tories was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Nahigian made the most plays with six.
