Rockport Townies Wins Back-And-Forth Affair Against Rowley Rams

Rockport Townies defeated Rowley Rams 7-4 in a back-and-forth affair on Sunday. The game was tied at four with Rockport Townies batting in the bottom of the fifth when Jeff Moore uncorked a wild pitch, scoring one run. 

Rockport Townies earned the victory despite allowing Rowley Rams to score three runs in the second inning. Rowley Rams's big inning was driven by a single by Esposito and a single by Colby Ingraham.

Rowley Rams took an early lead in the first inning. Ingraham's sac fly scored one run for Rowley Rams.  In the bottom of the third inning, Rockport Townies tied things up at four. Jason Vizena hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.  Rowley Rams scored three runs in the second inning. The big inning for Rowley Rams came thanks to a single by Esposito and a single by Ingraham.

Derek Osmond earned the win for Rockport Townies. He pitched five innings, allowing four runs, nine hits, and walking zero. Two relievers helped Rockport Townies close out the victory. Mackenzie Quinn threw one inning. Shawn Hull recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Rockport Townies.  Jeff Moore took the loss for Rowley Rams. He tossed two innings, surrendering three runs, two hits, and striking out one.

Tim Moore started the game for Rowley Rams. He tossed four innings, giving up four runs, five hits, and striking out two.  Rockport Townies had seven hits in the game. Alex Webb and Kyle Nelson each collected multiple hits for Rockport Townies. Nelson and Webb each collected two hits to lead Rockport Townies.

Rowley Rams collected ten hits. CJ Ingraham, Ingraham, Joe White, and Esposito each collected multiple hits for Rowley Rams. Ingraham led Rowley Rams with three hits in four at bats. Rowley Rams didn't commit a single error in the field. Mark Berkland had the most chances in the field with 15.
