Early Lead For Hamilton Generals Seals Fate For Rowley Rams

Rowley Rams fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-1 loss to Hamilton Generals on Tuesday. Hamilton Generals scored on a fielder's choice by Larry Saggese in the first inning and a single by Harrison O'Brien in the second inning.

The Rowley Rams struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Hamilton Generals, giving up ten runs. Hamilton Generals got things started in the first inning. Saggese hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run. Hamilton Generals scored eight runs in the seventh inning. Dylan Stratton, Keegan O’Shea, Jake Lanciani, O'Brien, Saggese, and Henry Eagar powered the big inning with RBIs.

Phil Durgin pitched Hamilton Generals to victory. He went seven innings, allowing one run on six hits and striking out five.

Joe Martin took the loss for Rowley Rams. He went six and a third innings, allowing six runs on 12 hits and striking out three.

Rowley Rams racked up six hits. Curtis Putnam and Tim Cashman all had multiple hits for Rowley Rams. Cashman and Putnam all had two hits to lead Rowley Rams.

Hamilton Generals had 16 hits in the game. Lanciani, O'Brien, Jimmy Parr, and Eagar each had multiple hits for Hamilton Generals. Lanciani led Hamilton Generals with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.
