Generals 6 Chiefs 4

Hamilton defeated Ipswich by a score of 6-4 Thursday night at Patton Park. Luke Painchaud went six innings for the win yielding two runs. Jim Love had a strong game for Hamilton with two hits and scored two runs. In his first start and plate appearances of the season, rightfielder Michael Drinkwater contributed a beast of a double. Ryan Montecalvo hit two doubles for the Chiefs.


With the win Hamilton secures the third seed in the playoffs and will open up a series on the road in Rockport on Monday evening. Ipswich finishes their season Friday night in Rowley against the Rams.
