Ipswich - 8, Beverly - 7

Ipswich took an 8 to 2 lead in the fifth inning. Beverly scored 2 in the bottom of the fifth and then 3 in the bottom of the seventh but left the bases loaded to end the game.

Trailing 8 to 4, Paul Drinkwater led off the bottom of the 7th with a homerun. Frankie Messina walked followed by a homerun by Josh Levesque in his first official ITL at bat cutting the lead to 1. Ipswich brought on Kevin Michael for the save. Brian Chirco singled, Jeff Barricelli reached on an error, and Sean Martin bunted both over to put the tying run on third and winning run on second. After an intentional walk, Michael struck out the final two batters for the save and the Ipswich win.

Drinkwater had a monster game for Beverly going 3 for 3 with 3HR and 4RBI. Chirco was 2 for 3.

For Ipswich, Jim Cadogan was 1 for 3 with a 3 run homer. Greg Doucette was 2 for 3 with a HR. Matt Small and Ryan Montecalvo each had 2 hits and an RBI.
