Mariners 9 Giants 6

 Man./Essex Mariners claimed a 9-6 victory on Thursday, despite a big push by Beverly Giants in the seventh inning. Brad Petipas and Luke McDonald all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. Man./Essex Mariners collected 11 hits and Beverly Giants had four.

Man./Essex Mariners opened up scoring in the first inning, when Zach Abbott singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Man./Essex Mariners notched four runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by Man./Essex Mariners was led by James McKenna, Abbott, Luis Reyes, and Alex Ray, who all drove in runs.

Ryan Marques got the win for Man./Essex Mariners. The bulldog allowed three hits and two runs over six innings, striking out eight. Corey McCollum threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Brady McGrath took the loss for Beverly Giants. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out five.

Man./Essex Mariners racked up 11 hits on the day. Reyes, Ray, and Caulin Rogers all managed multiple hits for Man./Essex Mariners. Reyes led Man./Essex Mariners with three hits in three at bats. Rowley Rams Takes the Win Over Hamilton Generals

Rowley Rams wins contest against Hamilton Generals on Wednesday, 4-2.  Rowley Rams got things started in the first inning when Justin Bolla singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run. 

Dylan Copeland was the winning pitcher for Rowley Rams. The pitcher went six and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on six hits and striking out six.  Paul Horgan took the loss for Hamilton Generals. The bulldog surrendered three runs on four hits over four innings, striking out seven. 

Bolla, Joe White, James Wood, and CJ Ingraham each managed one hit to lead Rowley Rams. Rowley Rams was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Steve Johanson had the most chances in the field with three.

Two Pitchers Team Up as Hamilton Generals Shuts Out Rockport Townies

Hamilton Generals defeated Rockport Townies 9-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Luke Painchaud induced a groundout from Derick MacDowell to finish off the game.  Hamilton Generals got things started in the first inning when Hunter Willochoski hit a solo homer. 

Hamilton Generals tallied three runs in the third inning. Hamilton Generals offense in the inning was led by Larry Saggese and Keegan O’Shea, all knocking in runs in the inning.  One bright spot for Rockport Townies was a single by Jake Engel in the fifth inning.  Sal Guarino was the winning pitcher for Hamilton Generals. The ace allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out one. Painchaud threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. 

Engel took the loss for Rockport Townies. The southpaw went three innings, allowing six runs on eight hits and striking out two.  Hamilton Generals launched one home run on the day. Willochoski went for the long ball in the first inning.  Hamilton Generals racked up 13 hits on the day. Saggese, Willochoski, O’Shea, and Paul Horgan all had multiple hits for Hamilton Generals. Horgan, O’Shea, Willochoski, and Saggese each managed two hits to lead Hamilton Generals. Hamilton Generals didn't commit a single error in the field. Jake Lanciani had four chances in the field, the most on the team.  Engel led Rockport Townies with one hit in one at bats.

Manchester-Essex sweeps Ipswich

Manchester/Essex Mariners defeated Ipswich Chiefs 8-0 on Tuesday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

Dylan Wilson led the Mariners to victory by driving in four runs. Wilson went 2-for-3 at the plate with 2 home runs, both in the second inning.

Rusty Tucker earned the win as he lasted four innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out 11. Wilson and Caulin Rogers entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Corey Greaney pitched well in relief for the Chiefs, going four and one-third innings, allowing zero runs on four hits and striking out six.

The Mariners scattered nine hits in the game. Emmanuel Morrata and Wilson each collected multiple hits. 

Alex Morris led Ipswich Chiefs with two hits in three at bats.

Ipswich Chiefs watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-0 loss to Man./Essex Mariners on Monday. Man./Essex Mariners scored on a home run by Bennett O'Leary in the first inning and a double by Marcus Montignino in the second inning.

The Ipswich Chiefs struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Man./Essex Mariners, giving up 11 runs.

One bright spot for Ipswich Chiefs was a single by Jake Greaney in the fifth inning.

Tight Game Between Hamilton Generals and Man./Essex Mariners Ends in a Tie

Hamilton Generals and Man./Essex Mariners played to a 4-4 tie on Thursday. Man./Essex Mariners tied the game on a home run in the fourth inning. Man./Essex Mariners got things started in the first inning when an error scored two runs for Man./Essex Mariners. 

In the top of the fourth inning, Man./Essex Mariners tied things up at four. Emmanuel Morrata hit a solo homer. Hamilton Generals notched three runs in the third inning. Hamilton Generals offense in the inning was led by Will Frain and Larry Saggese, who all drove in runs. 

Hamilton Generals saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Hunter Willochoski and Paul Horgan all managed multiple hits for Hamilton Generals. Man./Essex Mariners Can't Catch Up To Hamilton Generals

Man./Essex Mariners fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-2 loss to Hamilton Generals on Tuesday. Hamilton Generals scored on a double by Hunter Willochoski in the first inning, a single by Harrison O'Brien in the first inning, a single by Paul Horgan in the second inning, a single by Will Frain in the second inning, a double by Ryan Hutchinson in the second inning, and a double by Keegan O’Shea in the second inning. 

The Man./Essex Mariners struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Hamilton Generals, giving up 12 runs. Hamilton Generals got things started in the first inning. Willochoski drove in one when Willochoski doubled.  Hamilton Generals scored six runs in the second inning. Horgan, Frain, Hutchinson, and O’Shea each drove in runs during the inning. 

Luke Mclintock was the winning pitcher for Hamilton Generals. Mclintock went four innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out four and walking one. Jake Lanciani and O'Brien entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Beverly Giants Claims Victory Over Ipswich Chiefs

Beverly Giants took home a 4-2 victory over Ipswich Chiefs on Sunday.
 

Sean Martin was the winning pitcher for Beverly Giants. The righthander went six and a third innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out two and walking one. Robert Palacios threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Palacios recorded the last two outs to earn the save for Beverly Giants. 

Andy Brown, Brad Petipas, Andrew "Woody" Terista, Kevin Harutunian, and Saul Pena each managed one hit to lead Beverly Giants. Brown led Beverly Giants with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases.

Generals Sweep Doubleheader in Rockport

Game 1
Rockport Townies fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 3-2 loss to Hamilton Generals on Sunday. Hamilton Generals took the lead on a home run in the first inning. 

The pitching was strong on both sides. Hamilton Generals pitchers struck out eight, while Rockport Townies sat down three. Hamilton Generals got things started in the first inning. Hunter Willochoski drove in two when Willochoski homered. 

Paul Horgan was the winning pitcher for Hamilton Generals. Horgan lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out eight. 

Mackenzie Quinn took the loss for Rockport Townies. The righty lasted four innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out two and walking zero. 

Joe Muzio, Alex Webb, Nate Ferriero, and Brett Bouchie each collected one hit to lead Rockport Townies.
Harrison O'Brien went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Hamilton Generals in hits.

Rockport Townies Pitches Well, But Can't Find Enough Runs in Loss to Hamilton Generals

Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound on Sunday, but Hamilton Generals was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Rockport Townies on Sunday. Derick MacDowell started the game for Rockport Townies and recorded 21 outs. 

Rockport Townies lost despite out-hitting Hamilton Generals four to three.  Phil Durgin led the Hamilton Generals to victory on the mound. Durgin went seven innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out six and walking one. 

MacDowell took the loss for Rockport Townies. The righthander lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out six. Zach Morris led Rockport Townies with two hits in three at bats. Rockport Townies was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Keady Segel made the most plays with six.
