Hamilton Generals Over Ipswich Chiefs, 19-3

Hamilton Generals easily did away with Ipswich Chiefs 19-3 on Thursday.  Hamilton Generals opened up scoring in the first inning. Carter Coffey singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs. 


Hamilton Generals tallied six runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to doubles by Hunter Willochoski and Trevor Lyons, a walk by Cam Vatour, and by Keegan O’Shea. 


Luke Painchaud got the win for Hamilton Generals. Painchaud lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and one run while striking out four and walking zero. Tim O’Leary threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.  Sam Blizard took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. Blizard surrendered 11 runs on ten hits over five innings, striking out two. 


Hamilton Generals racked up 15 hits on the day. Chris Huggett, O’Shea, Jake Lanciani, Coffey, and Willochoski each collected multiple hits for Hamilton Generals. O’Shea and Huggett all had three hits to lead Hamilton Generals. Hamilton Generals didn't commit a single error in the field. O’Shea had eight chances in the field, the most on the team. 


Ipswich Chiefs saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Chas Rousseau and Corey Greaney each had multiple hits for Ipswich Chiefs.
