Two Hamilton Generals Pitchers Combine to Defeat Topsfield Tories in Shutout Game

Hamilton Generals defeated Topsfield Tories 16-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Mark Roselli struck out James Berti to finish off the game.  Hamilton Generals was boosted by Hunter Willochoski who went 4-for-5 at the plate. Willochoski singled in the first, singled in the third, homered in the fifth, and singled in the sixth. 


In the first inning, Hamilton Generals got their offense started. Chris Huggett drove in one when Huggett singled.  A single by Andrew Heath in the second inning was a positive for Topsfield Tories. 


Sal Guarino was credited with the victory for Hamilton Generals. The ace surrendered zero runs on four hits over six innings, striking out four and walking zero. Roselli threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Andrew Cavanaugh took the loss for Topsfield Tories. The bulldog allowed 13 hits and 13 runs over five innings, striking out four.


Hamilton Generals smacked one home run on the day. Willochoski went for the long ball in the fifth inning.  Hamilton Generals tallied 18 hits. Larry Saggese, Willochoski, Huggett, Bryan Vitale, and Paul Horgan each collected multiple hits for Hamilton Generals. Willochoski and Saggese all had four hits to lead Hamilton Generals.
