Chief's 13 - Rockport 2

In a game where Ipswich had to battle from one run down they took the series sweep with a 13-2 win of Rockport Monday night at Linebrook field. The Ipswich fans were in full support of its favorite boys of summer.

Chris Zaremba continued his hot streak by again taking Rockport yard twice to right field. Zaremba finished the night going two for four with 4 RBI's. Also pacing the Chief's with offense was Tommy Radzim who had a stellar performance at the plate going 4-4 with two doubles and two basehits. Jimmy Bodwell put the Chief's ahead in the home half of the 4th with a base knock to right. Andy Knox also impressed the Wahoo's down the left field line with a game tying basehit in the fourth. Brad Eaton also chipped in with two RBI's in a 2-3 day at the plate.

Chris Lane took to the hill to earn the victory tonight. Lane went the full seven to lock down his first win of the season. He surrendered 6 hits over the seven, striking out 10 Rockport hitter, and letting up one earned run. Ipswich finishes up its 2 game home stand on Friday night when the squad from Beverly makes its 2007 debut at the Reservation.

The bell is set to ring at 5:45 in what should be a good battle!
