Mariners 13 Chiefs 2

Manchester-Essex beat Ipswich 13-2 last night at Linebrook Field. With the win the Mariners have won the first round series two games to zero and advance to the ITL Finals this weekend.

Rory Gentile and Mike Cain powered the Mariners offense with three hits each and Peter Clark picked up the win in relief with 5 strong innings allowing just 1 run.

Ipswich was lead by Dylan Cain's 1st inning home run and Ryan Montecalvo's two hits.
