Hamilton Generals Clinches Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat Man./Essex Mariners

Hamilton Generals stole the lead late in the game in a 9-8 victory over Man./Essex Mariners on Thursday. The game was tied at five with Hamilton Generals batting in the bottom of the sixth when Tobin Clark-Goldfeld drew a walk, scoring one run.


Hamilton Generals built a four-run lead in the sixth inning and then held off Man./Essex Mariners's charge. Man./Essex Mariners scored three runs in the failed comeback on a single by Mike Quill and a home run by Kevin Carter.
 

Man./Essex Mariners fired up the offense in the first inning. An error scored one run for Man./Essex Mariners.Hamilton Generals knotted the game up at four in the bottom of the fourth inning. Larry Saggese hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.


Hunter Willochoski pitched Hamilton Generals to victory. The righty allowed four hits and three runs over two innings, striking out four and walking one. Phil Durgin started the game for Hamilton Generals. The bulldog went five innings, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out five.  Nick Freni led Hamilton Generals with two hits in three at bats.


Man./Essex Mariners tallied eight hits in the game. Carter and Sachem Ramos all collected multiple hits for Man./Essex Mariners.

Man./Essex Mariners Can't Catch Up To Hamilton Generals

Man./Essex Mariners watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 5-2 loss to Hamilton Generals on Tuesday. Hamilton Generals scored on a groundout by Conor Mclintock in the second inning.
In the second inning, Hamilton Generals got their offense started when Carter Coffey was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.


Hamilton Generals scored three runs in the fourth inning. Hamilton Generals offense in the inning was led by Mclintock, Hunter Willochoski, and Nick Freni, all driving in runs in the inning. Luke Mclintock got the win for Hamilton Generals. Mclintock lasted four innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out five and walking one. Coffey threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Coffey recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Hamilton Generals.


Rusty Tucker took the loss for Man./Essex Mariners. Tucker went six innings, allowing five runs on nine hits and striking out nine. Bob Whynott, Sachem Ramos, Alex Ray, Kevin McKenna, Mike Quill, Brett Moore, and Tucker each collected one hit to lead Man./Essex Mariners. Man./Essex Mariners was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Ramos had the most chances in the field with 12.
Hamilton Generals tallied ten hits in the game. Paul Horgan, Mclintock, and Willochoski all collected multiple hits for Hamilton Generals.

 Caulin Rogers and Satch Ramos both had 3 hits and 2 rbi to lead the Mariners. James Mckenna had 2 hits and 2 rbi. Rookie Matt Mckenna made a remarkable leaping grab in right then throughout the base runner for a double play in the first.

Ipswich Chiefs Takes a Tough Blow From Hamilton Generals

Ipswich Chiefs had a tough time generating runs on Monday, dropping their game with Hamilton Generals 10-2.  Ipswich Chiefs got things started in the first inning when Willie Bailey singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

 
Hamilton Generals pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Hunter Willochoski singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Sean Patrikas singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. 


Hamilton Generals scored four runs in the seventh inning. Hamilton Generals's big inning was driven by a sac fly by Harrison O'Brien and a home run by Nick Freni.  Carter Coffey was the winning pitcher for Hamilton Generals. The pitcher surrendered one run on three hits over two innings, striking out five and walking zero. Luke Mclintock threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. 


Phil Durgin started the game for Hamilton Generals. The bulldog allowed two hits and one run over three innings, striking out three.  Bailey led Ipswich Chiefs with two hits in four at bats.
Hamilton Generals tallied 14 hits in the game. Willochoski, Ryan Hutchinson, Mclintock, and Coffey all had multiple hits for Hamilton Generals.

Mariners 8 Giants 3

 Manchester-Essex picked up the win in Beverly 8 to 3. Sachem Ramos recorded the save, striking out 6 in 3 innings. Cory Burnham, Caulin Rogers, Kevin Carter James McKenna and Ramos all had big hits.


Josh Levesque pitched well in relief, allowing just 1 run over 4 innings.

Generals Take 2 over Rams

Hamilton Generals Grabs Lead in Fifth Inning to Defeat Rowley Rams
 

Hamilton Generals defeated Rowley Rams 2-1 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game, their second close game win over the Rams this week. The game was tied at one with Hamilton Generals batting in the bottom of the fifth when Nick Freni hit a solo homer. 


The pitching was strong on both sides. Hamilton Generals pitchers struck out five, while Rowley Rams pitchers sat down eight. Rowley Rams got on the board in the first inning when Anthony Conte singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Hamilton Generals knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the fourth inning. Sean Patrikas grounded out, scoring one run. 


Hunter Willochoski earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Hamilton Generals. The righty lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out five. Carter Coffey threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Coffey recorded the last out to earn the save for Hamilton Generals


Kyle Greenier took the loss for Rowley Rams. The pitcher went five innings, allowing two runs on six hits and striking out six. Hamilton Generals hit one home run on the day. Freni went deep in the fifth inning.
Freni went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Hamilton Generals in hits. Hamilton Generals was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Luke Mclintock made the most plays with eight.

Townies 4 Mariners 2

 The Rockport Townies scored 3 in the 6th to pull off the victory last night. The rally started with a runner reaching on a dropped third strike. Then big hits by Keady Seagel and Danny Ryan.

Mariners pitcher Brett Moore worked around a few mistakes in the field, allowing 2 earned runs in 5 1/3 innings. Jack Shaw closed the game out for the Mariners, not allowing any runs.

Mackenzie Quinn got the complete game victory for Rockport.

Kevin Carter hit a homerun for the Mariners. Caulin Rogers had 2 hits.

Rematch is Thursday night in Rockport.

Rams-8, Giants-6

Trailing 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Beverly scored 5 times to take a 6-2 lead but Rowley scored 6 in the bottom of the fifth to regain the lead 8-6. Jake Baressi pitched the final 2 frames for the save and Dave Ingraham got his 2nd W of the season in relief of Joe Martin.
