Mariners 7 Chiefs 2

The Manchester-Essex Mariners beat the Ipswich Chiefs 7 to 2 Tuesday. It was a 1 to 1 game into the third when the Mariners pulled ahead 4 to 1. The Chiefs threatened in the 5th with the bases loaded one out but Tommy Elliot came in to close the door after relieving starter Ryan Marques. The Mariners added a few more runs in the 5th on walks and James Mckenna had a rocket home run in the 6th. Mike Quill (Triple) and Caulin Rogers(two hits) both had good days at the plate. Cory Burnham and Kevin Carter had rbi hits.

Cavanaugh pitched well for the Chiefs, going 5 innings.

Rowley takes 2 in Beverly

Dave Ingraham got the win in relief of Jake Baressi as Rowley edged Beverly 2-1 in game 1. 

Tim Moore got the win in relief of Dylan Copeland and Colby Ingraham picked up the save as the Rams scored twice in the 6th to break a 3-3 tie and secure a 5-3 win in 6 innings (Darkness)


The 2 teams meet again Wednesday at Eiras Field in Rowley 545 pm.

Rockport 14, Hamilton 7

Rockport Townies Grabs Lead in Fifth Inning for Victory Over Hamilton Generals


Rockport Townies stole the lead late in the game in a 14-7 victory over Hamilton Generals on Sunday. The game was tied at five with Rockport Townies batting in the bottom of the fifth when Kyle Nelson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.


Rockport Townies earned the victory despite allowing Hamilton Generals to score five runs in the fifth inning. Hamilton Generals's big inning was driven by singles by Phil Durgin, Larry Saggese, and Carter Coffey and a fielder's choice by Sean Patrikas. Rockport Townies got things started in the first inning. An error scored one run for Rockport Townies. Jack Engel led the Rockport Townies to victory on the mound. The pitcher surrendered two runs on two hits over two and a third innings, striking out three.
Durgin took the loss for Hamilton Generals. The hurler went four innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out four.


Kenzie Quinn started the game for Rockport Townies. The bulldog allowed eight hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking zero. Rockport Townies saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game. Danny Ryan, Keady Segel, Jameson Kamm, and Jack Guelli all had multiple hits for Rockport Townies. Ryan led Rockport Townies with three hits in four at bats. Hamilton Generals tallied ten hits. Coffey and Hunter Willochoski all managed multiple hits for Hamilton Generals. Coffey went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Hamilton Generals in hits.

Mariners 8 Chiefs 2

 Abbot and moore combine for 17k’s over 7 innings, fill in skipper alex ray entered the game in the 6th inning went 1-1 with a double and 2 RBI’s as the mariners cruise to a 8-2 victory over the Ipswich chiefs. Mike quill added 3 hits for the mariners.
