Rowley Rams Captures Lead Early to Defeat Ipswich Chiefs

Ipswich Chiefs fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-5 loss to Rowley Rams on Monday. Rowley Rams scored on a walk by Justin Bolla in the first inning, a single by Tim Cashman in the first inning, a single by Shawn White in the first inning, and a single by Bolla in the second inning. 

Rowley Rams captured the lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for Rowley Rams.
Ipswich Chiefs scored four runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to a double by Sam Blizard, a single by Alex Morris, a single by Greg Doucette, and a single by Jeff Doucette. 


Tim Moore earned the win for Rowley Rams. He threw five innings, surrendering one run, six hits, and striking out five. Joe Martin threw one and one-third innings, as two relievers helped Rowley Rams finish off the victory. Martin recorded the last four outs to earn the save for Rowley Rams. Will Diezemann took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. He pitched two and a third innings, allowing nine runs, and seven hits. 


Ipswich Chiefs collected 11 hits. Morris and Blizard each collected multiple hits for Ipswich Chiefs. Morris went 4-for-5 at the plate as he led the team with two runs batted in.
Rowley Rams had 11 hits in the game. Shawn White, Jeff Wood, and Tim Cashman each collected multiple hits for Rowley Rams. Rowley Rams was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. White had the most chances in the field with five.
