 Hamilton Generals Victorious Thanks to Seventh Inning Boost

Hamilton Generals scored nine runs in the seventh on its way to a 13-3 victory over TBD on Thursday. Neil Simmons, Chris Huggett, Ryan Hutchinson, Harrison O'Brien, Tobin Goldfield, and Carter Coffey powered the big inning with RBIs. 


Hamilton Generals got things moving in the first inning, when Nick Freni grounded out, scoring two runs.
Hamilton Generals tallied nine runs in the seventh inning. Hamilton Generals offense in the inning was led by Simmons, Huggett, Hutchinson, O'Brien, Goldfield, and Coffey, all driving in runs in the frame. 


Paul Horgan was the winning pitcher for Hamilton Generals. The bulldog lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and three runs while striking out eight. Jake Lanciani and Huggett entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. 


#20 took the loss for Ipswich, surrendering ten runs on nine hits over five and a third innings, striking out one and walking one.  Hamilton Generals racked up 13 hits on the day. Simmons, O'Brien, and Keegan O’Shea each racked up multiple hits for Hamilton Generals. Simmons went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Hamilton Generals in hits. Hamilton Generals was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Freni made the most plays with ten.

Mariners 8 Rams 6

 The Mariners returned the favor last night in Rowley, taking down the Rams 8 to 6. Harry Painter was excellent on the mound for Manchester/Essex, going 5 innings allowing 1 hit, 1 run and striking out 8. Offensively for the Mariners Bennet O'Leary had a big day with 3 doubles. Caulin Rogers and Painter each had 2 hits.

It was a 3 to 2 game entering the 7th. The Mariners plated 5 then the Rams came storming back to cut the lead to 2 before the final out was made. Gilroy had 2 hits while Bolla and Conte had the other hits.

Ryan Hutchinson Drives in Four as Hamilton Generals Defeats Ipswich Chiefs


Ryan Hutchinson showed timely hitting on Thursday, driving in four on two hits to lead Hamilton Generals past Ipswich Chiefs 15-1 on Thursday. Hutchinson drove in runs on a double in the third and a home run in the fourth. 


An early lead helped propel Hamilton Generals to victory. Hamilton Generals scored on a single by Harrison O'Brien in the first inning. Hamilton Generals tallied six runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by Hamilton Generals was led by O'Brien, Nick Freni, Hutchinson, and Luke Mclintock, all driving in runs in the inning. 


Mark Roselli was the winning pitcher for Hamilton Generals. The pitcher went four innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out five. O'Brien and Aidan Cann entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. 


Zack Lamkin took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. Lamkin lasted five innings, allowing 13 hits and 15 runs while striking out five. Hamilton Generals socked two home runs on the day. Hutchinson had a long ball in the fourth inning. Freni had a dinger in the fifth inning. 


Hamilton Generals racked up 13 hits. O'Brien, Mclintock, and Hutchinson all managed multiple hits for Hamilton Generals. O'Brien went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Hamilton Generals in hits.

Rams / Generals Split Season Series

Hamilton Generals Grabs Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat Rowley Rams


Hamilton Generals took the lead late and defeated Rowley Rams 9-7 on Thursday. The game was tied at seven with Hamilton Generals batting in the bottom of the sixth when Harrison O'Brien lined out, driving in a run. 


Hamilton Generals earned the victory despite allowing Rowley Rams to score five runs in the fourth inning. Rowley Rams offense in the inning was led by Justin Bolla, Cashman, Ingraham, and White, all driving in runs in the inning.  Hamilton Generals got things started in the first inning when an error scored one run for Hamilton Generals.
 

Jake Lanciani earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Hamilton Generals. The ace lasted three innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. Mark Roselli threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Thompson took the loss for Rowley Rams. Thompson allowed zero hits and three runs over two-thirds of an inning, walking zero. 


Ryan Hutchinson started the game for Hamilton Generals. The bulldog went three and a third innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits and striking out three Martin started the game for Rowley Rams. The hurler allowed nine hits and six runs over five and a third innings, striking out four and walking one
Hamilton Generals smacked one home run on the day. Carter Coffey went deep in the fourth inning. 


Paul Horgan, Cam Vatour, Coffey, Lanciani, Ryan Monohan, Larry Saggese, Aidan Cann, O'Brien, and Will Frain each collected one hit to lead Hamilton Generals.  Rowley Rams collected nine hits. Cashman and White each managed multiple hits for Rowley Rams.

Hamilton Generals Captures Lead Early to Defeat Rowley Rams

Rowley Rams watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 6-3 loss to Hamilton Generals on Wednesday. Hamilton Generals scored on a fielder's choice by Aidan Cann, a single by Nick Freni, and a single by Ryan Hutchinson in the first inning. 


In the first inning, Hamilton Generals got their offense started when Copeland induced Cann to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Carter Coffey was credited with the victory for Hamilton Generals. The fireballer surrendered one run on three hits over four innings, striking out five. 


Copeland took the loss for Rowley Rams. The hurler went four and a third innings, allowing six runs on ten hits and striking out two. Paul Horgan started the game for Hamilton Generals. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out five. Ingraham led Rowley Rams with two hits in three at bats. 


Hamilton Generals saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game. Will Frain, Larry Saggese, Coffey, and Freni each collected multiple hits for Hamilton Generals. Hamilton Generals didn't commit a single error in the field. Freni had the most chances in the field with ten.

 The Rockport Townies beat Manchester/Essex last night 5 to 2. Derrick MacDowell picked up the win for Rockport and held the Mariners in check for most of the night.

 The Mariners & Townies had a classic battle on Sunday night in Rockport. The Townies overcame a 4 to 2 lead in the 6th and held on for the victory. Keady Segel had a big game with a homer as well as the go ahead 2 run single in the 6th. Jake Engel tossed 6 innings and picked up the win for Rockport.

Vaughn O'Leary (4ip 2 r), Jack Shaw and Kellen Field all pitched well for the Mariners.

Caulin  Rogers, James Mckenna and Alex Ray all had multiple hits for M/E.

Painchaud, Generals Shut Out Rockport Townies

Luke Painchaud threw a shutout to lead Hamilton Generals past Rockport Townies 7-0 on Thursday.
Hamilton Generals secured the victory thanks to four runs in the fifth inning. Hamilton Generals's big inning was driven by singles by Keegan O’Shea and Chris Huggett and a walk by Ryan Hutchinson. 


In the first inning, Hamilton Generals got their offense started when Larry Saggese singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.  Hamilton Generals put up four runs in the fifth inning. Hamilton Generals big bats were led by Hutchinson, O’Shea, and Huggett, who all drove in runs.
 

One bright spot for Rockport Townies was a single by Jack Sperry in the first inning.
Painchaud was the winning pitcher for Hamilton Generals. Painchaud went seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out six and walking one. 


Sam MacDowell took the loss for Rockport Townies. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out four.  Neil Simmons, Jake Lanciani, Huggett, O’Shea, Saggese, and Aidan Cann each collected one hit to lead Hamilton Generals.

Mariners 13 Chiefs 3

The Mariners took down the Chiefs last night in Ipswich 13 to 3. 

Cory "Bad Boy" Burnham and Luis "Vamanos" Reyes had two hits for the Mariners while James McKenna hit a deep triple to center.

Ryan "Old Way" Marques picked up the win, allowing one run which was a leadoff home run for Sam Blizzard. Blizzard also made a web gem diving grab in deep center to rob Dylan Wilson of extra bases.

Corey Greaney battled on the mound for the Chiefs having to work through 8 errors.

2009 ITL Cy Young Award winner Mike "Ole Gibble Fisted" Gibbon made his return to the mound after a 4 year hiatus. Gib struck out 2 guys in 1 inning of work.

After speaking with Riverview Staff there are no official pizza eating records. Unofficially some guy used to eat three which seems beatable.

Hamilton Generals seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off error at the end of the game to topple Man./Essex Mariners. The game was tied at one with Hamilton Generals batting in the bottom of the seventh when an error scored one run for Hamilton Generals.  The pitching was strong on both sides. Hamilton Generals pitchers struck out ten, while Man./Essex Mariners pitchers sat down seven. 

Man./Essex Mariners got things moving in the first inning. An error scored one run for Man./Essex Mariners.  In the bottom of the second inning, Hamilton Generals tied things up at one. Carter Coffey hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.
