The Hamilton Generals (1-1) beat the Beverly Giants (1-1) by the score of 9 to 3 Wednesday night at Cooney Field. Chris Judd pitched a 7 inning complete game with 9 strikeouts earning the victory. The General offense was led by Mark Provost and Brian Vitale who each had two hits and knocked in two runs apiece. Judd Funchion also added two hits.For Beverly, Nick Adams was 3 for 4 to pace the offense. Derek Scialdone, Jeff Giannino, and Matt O'Brien contributed with two hits apiece.
The Generals host Rockport on Thursday. Beverly faces Rowley Sunday.
