The Rowley Rams (1-0) beat the Beverly Giants (1-1) by the score of 4 to 0 Sunday at Cooney Field in Beverly. Joe Katin pitched a 5 hit complete game shutout for the victory. Rowley scored three times in the top of the 2nd to take a lead they would not give up. Brink walked with the bases loaded plating the first run and Shane Johnson doubled scoring two. Rowley added an insurance run in the 7th.

Tom Carr took the loss allowing 3 runs in 2 innings. Rocky Pisa kept things close with 4 innings of shutout relief.
