Townies 12 Tories 5

The Rockport Townies concluded the regular season last night in Topsfield with a 12-5 victory. The Townie offense was paced by Brent Currier (2-5, 2b, 3rbi), Tom Robertson (3-5, 2b, 3rbi), Mike Bertolino (3-3, 3rs, 3rbis) and Eric Juncker (3-5, rbi). Andy Vassallo went six innings for the win, striking out 8 while allowing 1 run on 3 hits.

Rockport finishes the season at 15-7-2, which keeps them in 2nd place. Topsfield finishes at 4-20.

The Townies face off against the Ipswich Chiefs tonight at Evans Field in Rockport for Game One of the ITL Semifinals. First pitch has been moved to 6pm.
