The Rowley Rams took game one of the finals 5-4 in 8 Innings.
Rockport struck first in the 2nd inning when Ressell scored the first run of the game, the Townies tacked on 3 more in the 3rd off Rams starter Joe Katin(5inn, 4R,3K,6H,7BB), when they sent 8 men to the plate. The inning saw runs from Brock and Brent Currier as well as Greel.
Down 4-0 through 3 innings the Rams got their first run of the day in the 4th inning when Kyle Mcelroy scored on a double to right center from Andrew Fecteau. In the 5th Rowley picked up another single run when Anthony Conte scored on a fielders choice grounder. The tying runs were scored in the 6th, Mcelroy scored on a wild pitch and Tim Moore scored on a Jordan Silva single into left.
Both teams went in order in the 7th and after 3 scoreless innings of relief from Joe Martin the Rams started the 8th with a Mcelroy single into left, after a walk to Tim Moore, with runners on first and second with no one out Andrew Fecteau delivered again with a long drive to left center that landed short of the fence and allowed Mcelroy to score from second ending the game.
Mcdowell started for Rockport and pitched well into the 6th. Offensively Brock Currier led the way with 3 hits. Smith took the loss for the Townies.
Martin gets the win in relief for the Rams while Fecteau had 2 hits and 2 RBI, Mcelroy had 3 hits and 3 runs.
