Giants scoreless for six innings to boost the Manchester/Essex Mariners to a

one walk and five hits.
Five runs in the opening three
innings allowed the Manchester/Essex Mariners to easily put away the Beverly
Giants. An RBI single by Max Nesbit during the first inning and a fielder's
choice in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Manchester/Essex
Mariners. Rory Gentile lead off the 3rd inning with a solo homerun.
Cain racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Manchester/Essex
Mariners. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth inning.
Founded in 1929, The Intertown Twilight League is the oldest active amateur baseball league in the country, and is recognized by the National Baseball Hall of Fame as such. The league consists of teams from Beverly, Hamilton, Ipswich, Manchester, Rockport, Rowley, & Topsfield to make up the league.
