Rowley Rams Drops Game to Ipswich Chiefs After Late Score

Rowley Rams stayed in it until the end, but Ipswich Chiefs pulled away late in a 3-1 victory on Thursday. The game was tied at one with Ipswich Chiefs batting in the top of the fifth when Greg Doucette doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Ipswich Chiefs pitchers struck out six, while Rowley Rams sat down 11.  Ipswich Chiefs knotted the game up at one in the top of the fourth inning. Jake Greaney drew a walk, scoring one run.

Corey Greaney got the win for Ipswich Chiefs. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking one.

Joe White took the loss for Rowley Rams. He surrendered two runs on one hit over one inning.
J. Cashman started the game for Rowley Rams. He surrendered one run on one hit over four innings, striking out ten Tom Rocket started the game for Ipswich Chiefs. He lasted four innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out three.

Tim Cashman, Dimitri Hunt, Colby Ingraham, Lewi Lheureux, and Jake Barressi each managed one hit to lead Rowley Rams. Rowley Rams was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Lheureux had the most chances in the field with ten.
