Beverly Giants Loses Lead Early in Defeat

Beverly Giants watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 6-4 loss to Hamilton Generals on Sunday. Hamilton Generals scored on a single by Harrison O'Brien, a single by Larry Saggese, and a sacrifice fly by Brian Nicoll in the first inning.

Hamilton Generals fired up the offense in the first inning. Hamilton Generals scored one run when O'Brien singled.

Luke Painchaud earned the victory on the hill for Hamilton Generals. He lasted seven innings, allowing 11 hits and four runs while striking out four and walking zero.  Dan Cashman took the loss for Beverly Giants. He lasted six innings, allowing nine hits and three runs while striking out four.
Beverly Giants tallied one home run on the day. Luke McDonald went yard in the seventh inning.

Beverly Giants tallied 11 hits in the game. Andy Brown , Alex "Larry" Grant, and Sean Martin each managed multiple hits for Beverly Giants. Brown led Beverly Giants with three hits in four at bats. Beverly Giants was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Cashman made the most plays with two.

Hamilton Generals saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game. Henry Eagar, Painchaud, Ben MacDonald, Chris Huggett, O'Brien, and Saggese each had multiple hits for Hamilton Generals.
