Hamilton trailed 2-1 going to the top of the seventh Monday
night at Linebrook Road, but plated two runs to record a 3-2 come from
behind victory over Ipswich. Jimmy Parr walked to start the inning.
After a fielder's choice, Jim Maloney worked a walk after a ten pitch
at-bat, setting the table for Bryan Vitale. Vitale then split the gap
in left-center with a double that scored both runners, giving the
Generals the lead.
Luke Painchaud gave up two runs (one earned) in six innings to earn
the win. Cam Charette pitched a perfect seventh, striking out the
side, for the save. Alex Ministeri went five innings for Ipswich,
giving up only one run, but did not figure in the decision. Avon
Stewart had a RBI single in the first for Hamilton and Tom Radzim hit a
two-run HR in the second for Ipswich to account for the game's other
runs. The two teams play again Thursday night at Patton Park.
