- The Manchester-Essex Mariners and Ipswich Chiefs lit up the scoreboard on Wednesday as they combined for 17 runs and 31 hits. In the end, the Mariners won the offensive battle 9-8.
Manchester-Essex had 18 hits on the night with Noah Aiello (4 hits), Caulin Rogers and Max Nesbit (3 hits) leading the way.
For Ipswich, Jake Greaney was 4 for 4 and Louis Galanis was 3 for 4.
The Mariners erased an 8 to 6 deficit in the top of the 7th with 3 runs. With 2 outs, Aiello's clutch RBI double gave the Mariners the lead.
Peter Clark picked up the win in relief and Mike Gibbon recorded the save.
