Hamilton Generals easily dispatched Rockport Townies 8-2 on Wednesday
Hamilton Generals opened up scoring in the first inning, when Harrison O'Brien singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run. Hamilton Generals tallied three runs in the fourth inning. The rally was led by a single by Hunter Willochoski, a groundout by Jake Lanciani, and an error on a ball put in play by Ian Coffey.
Sal Guarino earned the win for Hamilton Generals. The fireballer allowed four hits and one run over four innings, striking out one and walking zero. Carter Coffey threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Zach Morris took the loss for Rockport Townies. Morris went four and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and striking out five. Hamilton Generals collected ten hits on the day. Paul Horgan and Lanciani each managed multiple hits for Hamilton Generals. Horgan went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Hamilton Generals in hits. Hamilton Generals didn't commit a single error in the field. Larry Saggese had the most chances in the field with five.
Jameson Kamm led Rockport Townies with three hits in four at bats.
