Bouchie's Walk-off Gives Rockport Townies Victory Over Hamilton Generals


It came down to the wire on Monday, with Rockport Townies taking victory on a dramatic walk-off error in the late innings that sealed their victory over Hamilton Generals. The game was tied at ten with Rockport Townies batting in the bottom of the seventh when an error scored one run for Rockport Townies. 


Rockport Townies collected eight hits and Hamilton Generals had 12 in the high-scoring affair.
Hamilton Generals got on the board in the first inning. Paul Horgan hit a solo homer.  Hamilton Generals scored five runs in the second inning. Hamilton Generals batters contributing to the big inning included Horgan, Harrison O'Brien, and Larry Saggese, who all drove in runs. 


Derick MacDowell was credited with the victory for Rockport Townies. The righthander surrendered four runs on five hits over five innings, striking out four.  Horgan took the loss for Hamilton Generals. Horgan went two innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out two. 


Mackenzie Quinn started the game for Rockport Townies. The righty went two innings, allowing six runs on seven hits and walking zero Luke Mclintock started the game for Hamilton Generals. The bulldog allowed three hits and five runs over three innings, striking out two.  Keady Segel led Rockport Townies with two hits in three at bats. 


Hamilton Generals totaled 12 hits. O'Brien, Saggese, Carter Coffey, and Horgan each collected multiple hits for Hamilton Generals. O'Brien went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Hamilton Generals in hits. Hamilton Generals stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Jake Lanciani led the way with two.
