Game 2: Townies 6 - Generals 1

The Rockport Townies won game 2 in a very close game for most of the day. Adam Orlando earned the win in game two going 7 strong innings. Jeff Jensen pitched six but tired in the seventh, and was charged with the loss.

In the top of the first the Rockport Townies put together a run with two out and no one on. Brent Currier got hit with a pitch, Orlando followed with a double. Chris Bouchie got an RBI infield dribbler that was placed perfectly. That one run stood all the way to the seventh inning. The Generals threatened many times but failed to deliver the one big hit. Hamilton stranded ten runners on the day as Orlando got all the big outs he needed.

In the seventh the Townies got to Jensen for 5 runs. Brent Currier delivered a 3-run HR and Chris Bouchie hit a two run shot, both to left. The Generals got something going in the bottom of the seventh but a Jim Maloney sac-fly resulted in the only run for the home team. The Townies take a commanding 2-0 in the best of five series, game three will be Wednesday night in Rockport. 5:45pm start.
