Ipswich Chiefs Can't Hold Up Against Hamilton Generals
 

Ipswich Chiefs had trouble keeping up with Hamilton Generals in a 5-1 loss on Monday.
Hamilton Generals captured the lead in the first inning. Hamilton Generals scored one run when Aaron Cohen singled with zero outs in the first inning. 


In the bottom of the second inning, Ipswich Chiefs tied things up at one. Jeff Doucette singled on the first pitch of the at bat in the second inning, scoring one run.  Hamilton Generals took the lead for good with one run in the third inning. In the third Nick Burnham doubled off of Andrew Carbone, driving in one run. 


Hamilton Generals scored three runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Hamilton Generals came thanks to a single by Cohen, a single by Mark Ruggiero, and a single by Chris Huggett.  Luke Painchaud earned the win for Hamilton Generals. He went seven innings, surrendering one run, six hits, and striking out seven. Carbone took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. He tossed seven innings, allowing five runs, eight hits, striking out nine, and walking one. 


Ipswich Chiefs collected six hits. Jake Greaney and Doucette each collected multiple hits for Ipswich Chiefs. Doucette and Greaney each collected two hits to lead Ipswich Chiefs.  Hamilton Generals had eight hits in the game. Cohen and Burnham each collected multiple hits for Hamilton Generals. Hamilton Generals was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Pete Duval made the most plays with seven.
