Townies Take Game 2 - Series Tied 1-1

Game 2 of the Finals went to the Rockport Townies as they defeated Manchester-Essex Mariners 10-4 at Evans Field in Rockport on Sunday to even up the series at one game a piece.

Shawn Hull went 7 innings to pick up the victory, surrending 2 unearned runs on 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Lucas Da Silva got the loss for the Mariners... going 3+ innings, allowing 5 earned runs, 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 5.

The Townies got offensive production from various players. Dan Greel (3for4, 2rbis) and Garret Folger (2for3, 3rbis, 2b, sb) led the way, while Brent Currier, Jeremy Spittle, Conor Ressel, Mike Emerson and Derek Osmond all hit safely for the Townies. For the Mariners... Alex Ray, Joe Orlando, Charlie Choate and Ian Buckley all hit safely.

Game 3 takes place Wednesday night at Memorial Field in Essex. First pitch 5:30pm.
