Beverly - 2, Rockport - 1
The Townies and Giants played a tight one under threat of rain Wednesday night in Beverly. Beverly got on the board first in the second inning, when Josh Leveque doubled and Kevin Harutunian singled him home with two outs. Rockport answered in the top of the third, when Fulmer (2 hits) doubled home Douglass to tie the game. Townie pitcher MacDowell (6ip, 10Ks) worked out of a couple jams and kept the Giants at bay until the 6th, when a wild pickoff throw scored the eventual winning run.
