Tories 0 - Generals 12

Judd Funchion helped the Generals get back on track by recording his 3rd consecutive complete game shut-out. Funchion allowed only one hit, which came in the form on an infield single in the first inning. Perhaps most impressive of his latest pitching performance was that Funchion did not allow a single ball to leave the infield. He ended it giving up no runs, two walks, and 5 strike outs.

On the offensive side, the Generals spread out 11 hits. Reggie Maidment, Bryan Vitale, Tom Jones, and Andre Painchaud all contributed 2 hits apiece. With two outs in the fourth inning the Generals put up a 7-spot. Vitale and Painchaud recorded RBI singles. Tim O'Leary followed by bringing them both home on a deep double to center. Tom Jones then knocked O'Leary in with a HR into the pond. In the fifth inning, the Generals got 2 more runs on a Reggie Maidment HR.

The win helps the Generals move a step closer to the ITL playoffs with 4 games remaining. The race is close and no team is set in the standings. It should make for an exciting final week of the season.
