Rams 4 Tories 1

The Topsfield Tories welcomed the Rowley Rams to Proctor field for the second time this year in what turned out to be a tight game from beginning to end. Neither team really put a bat on the ball which was no surprise with each team throwing their ace on the hill. Matt Wile, of the Rams, and Ryan Ouellette, of the Tories both went seven strong in an old fashioned pitchers duel. Scott Lobdells had the only Tories hit and scored their only run in the first as Wile took home a complete game W. This was a game that was truly won on defense as the Rams looked sharp while the Tories committed a few costly errors late in the game. Topsfield will look to rebound as the two teams play again on wednesday.
