innings. He struck out six, walked six and surrendered nine hits. The Generals also welcomed back a familiar face to the line-up. Mark Ruggiero dusted off the glove and made this his season debut, welcome back!
Greg Doucette was charged with the loss. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
Hamilton Generals went up for good in the first, scoring two runs on a sacrifice fly by Avon Stewart. Hamilton Generals piled on two more runs in the top of the second. Brian Nicoll singled, plating Joe Desjardins to start the inning. That was followed up by Huggett's single, bringing home Nicoll.
Ipswich Chiefs' lone run of the ballgame came in the seventh inning on an RBI double by Jake Greaney.
