Rowley - 2, Beverly 1

Tim Moore went the distance for the win. Cashman pitched well in the loss. Each pitcher went 7 giving up 2 hits a piece in a game that was over by 7:20. Rowley hosts Rockport tomorrow night 545, Beverly plays Friday in Rockport.

The Rowley Rams starter Tim Moore doesn't need much run-support when he is on the hill and he showed it on Tuesday at Eiras Field - 477 Haverhill St Rowley, MA 01969 against the Beverly Giants. Seven strong innings by Moore carried the Rowley Rams to a 2-1 victory over the Beverly Giants in seven innings.

The Rowley Rams held off the Beverly Giants, as the Beverly Giants were unable to overcome a two-run third inning deficit. The Beverly Giants scored one run in the fourth on an RBI single by Dan Cashman. Despite their efforts, the Beverly Giants couldn't finish the comeback.  Cashman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out eight, and allowed two runs.

The Rowley Rams didn't relinquish the lead after scoring one run in the first inning when they scored on an RBI single by Justin Bolla.  The Beverly Giants scored their only run of the game on an RBI single by Cashman in the fourth inning.
