Beverly Giants Jumps Out to Early Lead in Victory Over Ipswich Chiefs

Beverly Giants jumped out to an early lead over Ipswich Chiefs and took home an 8-1 victory on Sunday. Beverly Giants scored on a single by Luke McDonald in the first inning, a triple by Anthony Morrissey in the second inning, and a double by Andy Brown in the second inning.

Beverly Giants took an early lead in the first inning. Beverly Giants scored one run when Luke McDonald singled with zero outs in the first inning.  Beverly Giants scored three runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to a triple by Anthony Morrissey and a double by Andy Brown .
Josh Levesque earned the win for Beverly Giants. He pitched five innings, surrendering one run, three hits, striking out eight, and walking one. Morrissey recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Beverly Giants. Jake Greaney took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. He tossed six innings, surrendering eight runs, 13 hits, striking out four, and walking one.

Beverly Giants had 13 hits in the game. Kevin Harutunian , Gavin Sparkman , Mike Macdonald, and Brown each collected multiple hits for Beverly Giants. Brown , Macdonald, Sparkman , and Harutunian all had two hits to lead Beverly Giants.
