Ipswich Chiefs Pitches Well, but Can't Find Enough Runs in Loss to Hamilton Generals

Both teams were strong on the mound on Monday, but Hamilton Generals was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Ipswich Chiefs on Monday. Jake Greaney started the game for Ipswich Chiefs and recorded 15 outs.

Ipswich Chiefs lost despite out-hitting Hamilton Generals seven to five.  Luke Painchaud earned the win for Hamilton Generals. He went seven innings, surrendering one run, seven hits, striking out four, and walking zero. Jake Greaney took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. He tossed five innings, giving up three runs, five hits, and striking out five.

Ipswich Chiefs collected seven hits. Chas Rousseau and Greaney each collected multiple hits for Ipswich Chiefs. Greaney and Rousseau each collected two hits to lead Ipswich Chiefs.

Hamilton Generals was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Mark Ruggiero made the most plays with seven.
