Man./Essex Mariners Takes High-Scoring Game From Hamilton Generals, 12-6

Both offenses were strong in Man./Essex Mariners 12-6 victory over Hamilton Generals.  Hamilton Generals got things started in the first inning when an error scored one run for Hamilton Generals.

Man./Essex Mariners scored six runs in the third inning. Man./Essex Mariners put the pressure on, lead by walks by Rory Gentile and Adam Philpott, an error on a ball put in play by Ian Buckley and Eric Chalmers, and a fielder's choice by Caulin Rogers.

Hamilton Generals scored three runs in the seventh inning. The offensive onslaught by Hamilton Generals was led by Chris Huggett and Harrison O'Brien, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Marc Phinney earned the victory on the hill for Man./Essex Mariners. He allowed three hits and three runs over six innings, striking out six. Corey McCollum threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Cam Vatour took the loss for Hamilton Generals. He lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and eight runs while striking out two.

Man./Essex Mariners totaled ten hits. Rogers, Kellen Field, and Charlie Otterbein each managed multiple hits for Man./Essex Mariners. Rogers led Man./Essex Mariners with three hits in four at bats.

O'Brien went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Hamilton Generals in hits. Hamilton Generals stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one. O'Brien led the way with two.

Rowley Rams Captures Lead Early to Defeat Ipswich Chiefs

Ipswich Chiefs watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 2-0 loss to Rowley Rams on Monday. Rowley Rams took the lead on a home run in the first inning.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Rowley Rams pitchers struck out six, while Ipswich Chiefs sat down five.

Rowley Rams fired up the offense in the first inning. Justin Bolla drove in two when he homered.
One bright spot for Ipswich Chiefs was a single by Dan Frey in the second inning.

Jake Barressi was the winning pitcher for Rowley Rams. He went six innings, allowing zero runs on five hits and striking out six. Adam Chatterton threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Greg Doucette took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. He allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out five and walking one.

Ipswich Chiefs totaled five hits in the game. Frey and Sam Blizard all collected multiple hits for Ipswich Chiefs. Blizard and Frey each collected two hits to lead Ipswich Chiefs.  Rowley Rams didn't commit a single error in the field. Lewi Lheureux had the most chances in the field with six.

Early Lead For Beverly Giants Seals Fate For Ipswich Chiefs

Ipswich Chiefs watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-5 loss to Beverly Giants on Friday. Beverly Giants scored on a sacrifice fly by Dan Patrazza in the first inning, a walk by Luke McDonald in the second inning, a walk by Gavin Sparkman in the second inning, a sacrifice fly by Andy Brown in the second inning, and a wild pitch during Andrew "Woody" Terista's at bat in the second inning.  Ipswich Chiefs lost despite out-hitting Beverly Giants 13 to 12.

Beverly Giants opened up scoring in the first inning, when Patrazza's sac fly scored one run for Beverly Giants.  Ipswich Chiefs notched four runs in the fifth inning. Ipswich Chiefs offense in the inning was led by RJ Libby, Jake Greaney, Alex Morris, and Chas Rousseau, who all drove in runs.
Beverly Giants scored four runs in the second inning. McDonald, Sparkman, Brown , and Terista powered the big inning with RBIs.

Brown led the Beverly Giants to victory on the mound. He allowed 13 hits and five runs over six innings, striking out six. Dan Cashman threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Will Diezemann took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. He went one and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on three hits.

Ipswich Chiefs Eke Out Eight Hits, Not Enough To Best Rockport Townies

Even though Ipswich Chiefs collected eight hits to Rockport Townies's six, they still fell 5-3 on Thursday.  Rockport Townies opened up scoring in the first inning, when Kyle Nelson singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Ipswich Chiefs knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the second inning, when Sam Blizard singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Rockport Townies pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored one run for Rockport Townies.  Marcus Cottone was the winning pitcher for Rockport Townies. He went six innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, striking out six and walking one. Dylan Maki threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Caleb Comeau took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. He went six innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out seven.

Brett Harring Drives in Four as Hamilton Generals Wins Over Topsfield Tories

Brett Harring came the ballpark and meant business on Thursday, driving in four on three hits to lead Hamilton Generals past Topsfield Tories 11-2 on Thursday. Harring drove in runs on a home run in the first and a single in the second.

Hamilton Generals got things moving in the first inning. Hamilton Generals scored three runs when Harring homered.

Phil Durgin took the win for Hamilton Generals. He surrendered two runs on five hits over six innings, striking out eight. Sal Guarino threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Zack Lamkin took the loss for Topsfield Tories. He allowed 12 hits and nine runs over four innings, striking out seven.

Hamilton Generals hit one home run on the day. Harring had a four bagger in the first inning.  Hamilton Generals racked up 14 hits in the game. Rowley Rams Drops Game to Man./Essex Mariners After Late Score

Wednesday's game against Man./Essex Mariners was a heartbreaker for Rowley Rams, as they lost the lead late in a 5-2 defeat. The game was tied at two with Man./Essex Mariners batting in the top of the fifth when Paul Crehan doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Rowley Rams fired up the offense in the first inning. Justin Bolla's sac fly scored one run for Rowley Rams.

Ryan Marques pitched Man./Essex Mariners to victory. He allowed four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out five and walking zero. Marc Phinney threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Phinney recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Man./Essex Mariners.

Dave Ingraham took the loss for Rowley Rams. He surrendered five runs on 11 hits over five and a third innings, striking out five.

Early Lead For Beverly Giants Seals Fate For Hamilton Generals

Hamilton Generals fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-7 loss to Beverly Giants on Tuesday. Beverly Giants scored on a single by Conor Walsh in the first inning, a groundout by Gavin Sparkman in the first inning, a single by Josh Levesque in the first inning, a single by Mike Macdonald in the first inning, and a single by Levesque in the second inning.

Despite the loss, Hamilton Generals did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Beverly Giants had 13 hits on the way to victory.

Beverly Giants opened up scoring in the first inning, when Walsh singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.  Sean Martin pitched Beverly Giants to victory. He allowed two hits and two runs over three innings, striking out one.

Rockport Townies lost the lead late in a 12-7 defeat to Ipswich Chiefs on Sunday. The game was tied at four with Ipswich Chiefs batting in the top of the sixth when Chas Rousseau doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Rockport Townies collected 11 hits and Ipswich Chiefs had 14 in the high-scoring affair.
Jake Greaney took the win for Ipswich Chiefs. He surrendered seven runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out one. Jay Galoski threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Rockport Townies Walks Away the Victor After Tense Back-And-Forth Against Beverly Giants

Rockport Townies and Beverly Giants traded the lead back-and-forth on Friday, but eventually Rockport Townies prevailed 13-12. The game was tied at nine with Rockport Townies batting in the bottom of the fourth when Alex Webb singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Rockport Townies collected eight hits and Beverly Giants had eight. Rockport Townies took an early lead in the second inning. Conor Douglass doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Rockport Townies took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error scored one run for Rockport Townies and Jay Fulmer singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.  Beverly Giants scored four runs in the third inning. Beverly Giants's big inning was driven by singles by Gavin Sparkman and Anthony Morrissey and a sac fly by Brian Chirco.

Shawn Hull was the winning pitcher for Rockport Townies. He surrendered one run on three hits over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Jason Vizena and Dylan Maki entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Maki recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Rockport Townies.

Rowley Rams had a tough time generating runs on Wednesday, dropping their game with Rockport Townies 10-4.

Rowley Rams got things moving in the first inning, when Curtis Putnam doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Rockport Townies pulled away for good with five runs in the third inning. In the third Jordan Pallazola drew a walk, scoring one run, Keady Segel drew a walk, scoring one run, Kyle Nelson drew a walk, scoring one run, and Marcus Cottone doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
James Parisi took the win for Rockport Townies. He lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out five.

Joe White took the loss for Rowley Rams. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on one hit and striking out four.

Dylan Copeland went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Rowley Rams in hits. Rowley Rams didn't commit a single error in the field. Copeland had the most chances in the field with five.

Hamilton Generals defeated Ipswich Chiefs 9-2 thanks to a strong start. Hamilton Generals scored on a sacrifice fly by Brett Harring in the first inning, a single by Larry Saggese in the first inning, and a walk by Harring in the second inning.

Greg Doucette Drives in Six to Seal Ipswich Chiefs's Victory Over Hamilton Generals

Greg Doucette drove in six on two hits to lead Ipswich Chiefs past Hamilton Generals 16-3 on Monday. Doucette drove in runs on a sacrifice fly in the first, a home run in the second, a home run in the third, and a sacrifice fly in the third.

Ipswich Chiefs grabbed an early lead. Ipswich Chiefs scored on a sacrifice fly by Doucette in the first inning, a single by RJ Libby in the second inning, a home run by Doucette in the second inning, a single by Corey Greaney in the second inning, and a error in the second inning.

Late Score Costs Topsfield Tories Against Ipswich Chiefs

Friday's game against Ipswich Chiefs was a heartbreaker for Topsfield Tories, as they lost the lead late in a 12-4 defeat. Hamilton Generals took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Rowley Rams. The Generals trailed by 3 heading into the bottom of the seventh.  With the game tied at eight, Harrison O'Brien singled on a 1-1 count, scoring the winning run.

Hamilton Generals earned the victory despite allowing Rowley Rams to score five runs in the sixth inning. Rowley Rams's big inning was driven by a walk by Jeff Wood, an error on a ball put in play by Shawn White, and a double by Courtney Ashman.

Mariners Take Down Giants

  • Man./Essex Mariners defeated Beverly Giants 9-0 on Wednesday as four pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Corey McCollum induced a double-play from Josh Levesque to finish off the game.

Rowley Rams Falls to Hamilton Generals After Fifth Inning Score

Rowley Rams lost the lead late in a 3-1 defeat to Hamilton Generals on Wednesday. The game was tied at one with Hamilton Generals batting in the top of the fifth when Chris Huggett grounded out, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Hamilton Generals pitchers struck out seven, while Rowley Rams sat down ten.   Luke Painchaud was the winning pitcher for Hamilton Generals. He surrendered one run on three hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.
Dylan Copeland took the loss for Rowley Rams. He surrendered three runs on four hits over six innings, striking out seven.

Jake Barressi went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Rowley Rams in hits.
Hamilton Generals was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Pete Duval made the most plays with eight.

Late Score Costs Ipswich Chiefs Against Topsfield Tories

Monday's game against Topsfield Tories was a heartbreaker for Ipswich Chiefs, as they lost the lead late in an 8-4 defeat. Topsfield Tories trailed 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning when Topsfield Tories scored on a stolen base during Casey Orlando's at bat. Then Orlando homered , driving in three.

Ipswich Chiefs captured the lead in the second inning. An error scored one run for Ipswich Chiefs.
After Topsfield Tories scored one run in the top of the sixth, Ipswich Chiefs answered with one of their own. Topsfield Tories scored when Andrew Heath grounded out, scoring one run. Ipswich Chiefs then answered when Dave Moore drew a walk, scoring one run.

Shane Grady earned the win for Topsfield Tories. He allowed six hits and four runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four. Matt Nolfi threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Jay Galoski took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. He went five innings, allowing seven runs on ten hits and striking out four.

Ipswich Chiefs tallied six hits on the day. RJ Libby and Greg Doucette all managed multiple hits for Ipswich Chiefs. Doucette and Libby each managed two hits to lead Ipswich Chiefs. Ipswich Chiefs didn't commit a single error in the field. Sam Blizard had five chances in the field, the most on the team.

Topsfield Tories racked up 12 hits on the day. Alan Nahigian, Nolan Rice, Orlando, and Grady each managed multiple hits for Topsfield Tories. Nahigian went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Topsfield Tories in hits.

Rockport Townies wins contest against Man./Essex Mariners, 4-1

Rockport Townies opened up scoring in the first inning. Rockport Townies scored one run when Mike Emerson singled. Derek Osmond led things off on the hill for Rockport Townies. He lasted five and a third innings, allowing six hits and one run while striking out three and walking zero.

Peter Clark started the game for Man./Essex Mariners. He went five innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and striking out five. Kellen Field threw one inning in relief.  Rockport Townies racked up eight hits on the day. Nolan Webb and Alex Webb each racked up multiple hits for Rockport Townies. Webb went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Rockport Townies in hits.

Ipswich Chiefs Defeats Beverly Giants in High-Scoring Game, 20-6

Both offenses were strong in Ipswich Chiefs 20-6 victory over Beverly Giants.   In the first inning, Ipswich Chiefs got their offense started when Jake Greaney singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Ipswich Chiefs notched eight runs in the sixth inning. Chas Rousseau, Steven Solimeno, Sam Blizard, RJ Libby, Greg Doucette, and Alex Morris each had RBIs in the frame.

Beverly Giants scored three runs in the fifth inning. Beverly Giants's big inning was driven by by Cam Rogers and Gavin Sparkman and a single by Josh Levesque.  Will Diezemann pitched Ipswich Chiefs to victory. He surrendered four runs on two hits over four innings, striking out three. Caleb Comeau threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Comeau recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Ipswich Chiefs.

Levesque took the loss for Beverly Giants. He allowed eight hits and 12 runs over four and a third innings, striking out four.  Ipswich Chiefs tallied 15 hits on the day. Blizard, Morris, Doucette, Corey Greaney, and Dave Moore each managed multiple hits for Ipswich Chiefs. Morris and Blizard each managed three hits to lead Ipswich Chiefs. Ipswich Chiefs was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Solimeno had the most chances in the field with six.  Beverly Giants was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Dan Cashman made the most plays with six.

Hamilton Generals Falls to Rockport Townies After Eighth Inning Score

Hamilton Generals lost the lead late in a 10-4 defeat to Rockport Townies on Thursday. The game was tied at four with Rockport Townies batting in the top of the eighth when Alex Webb's sac fly scored one run for Rockport Townies. The Hamilton Generals struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Rockport Townies, giving up ten runs.

Rockport Townies got on the board in the first inning. Mike Emerson doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.  Rockport Townies evened things up at four in the top of the seventh inning when Nolan Webb's sac fly scored one run for Rockport Townies.

Hamilton Generals scored three runs in the fourth inning. Hamilton Generals big bats were led by Chris Huggett, Thomas Dowd, and Brett Harring, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Mackenzie Quinn was the winning pitcher for Rockport Townies. He allowed two hits and zero runs over four and a third innings, striking out three.  Lee Drinkwater took the loss for Hamilton Generals. He lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing two hits and six runs.  Webb started the game for Rockport Townies. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out six Luke Painchaud started the game for Hamilton Generals. He surrendered four runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out seven.

Pete Duval, Harring, Dylan Stratton, Brian Nicoll, and Henry Eagar each collected one hit to lead Hamilton Generals. Hamilton Generals tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Nicoll led the way with three.  Rockport Townies scattered eight hits in the game. Kyle Nelson and Webb each collected multiple hits for Rockport Townies. Nelson led Rockport Townies with three hits in five at bats. Rockport Townies stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Jamieson Kamm led the way with two.
