Brett Harring Drives in Four as Hamilton Generals Wins Over Topsfield Tories

Brett Harring came the ballpark and meant business on Thursday, driving in four on three hits to lead Hamilton Generals past Topsfield Tories 11-2 on Thursday. Harring drove in runs on a home run in the first and a single in the second.

Hamilton Generals got things moving in the first inning. Hamilton Generals scored three runs when Harring homered.

Phil Durgin took the win for Hamilton Generals. He surrendered two runs on five hits over six innings, striking out eight. Sal Guarino threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Zack Lamkin took the loss for Topsfield Tories. He allowed 12 hits and nine runs over four innings, striking out seven.

Hamilton Generals hit one home run on the day. Harring had a four bagger in the first inning.  Hamilton Generals racked up 14 hits in the game. Harring, Harrison O'Brien, Chris Huggett, and Durgin each had multiple hits for Hamilton Generals. Harring led Hamilton Generals with three hits in three at bats. Hamilton Generals tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. O'Brien led the way with two. Hamilton Generals didn't commit a single error in the field. Larry Saggese had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.

Troy Bunker went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Topsfield Tories in hits.
