Early Lead For Beverly Giants Seals Fate For Ipswich Chiefs
Ipswich Chiefs watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-5 loss to Beverly Giants on Friday. Beverly Giants scored on a sacrifice fly by Dan Patrazza in the first inning, a walk by Luke McDonald in the second inning, a walk by Gavin Sparkman in the second inning, a sacrifice fly by Andy Brown in the second inning, and a wild pitch during Andrew "Woody" Terista's at bat in the second inning. Ipswich Chiefs lost despite out-hitting Beverly Giants 13 to 12.
Beverly Giants opened up scoring in the first inning, when Patrazza's sac fly scored one run for Beverly Giants.
