Rowley Rams Captures Lead Early to Defeat Ipswich Chiefs

Ipswich Chiefs watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 2-0 loss to Rowley Rams on Monday. Rowley Rams took the lead on a home run in the first inning.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Rowley Rams pitchers struck out six, while Ipswich Chiefs sat down five.

Rowley Rams fired up the offense in the first inning. Justin Bolla drove in two when he homered.
One bright spot for Ipswich Chiefs was a single by Dan Frey in the second inning.

Jake Barressi was the winning pitcher for Rowley Rams. He went six innings, allowing zero runs on five hits and striking out six. Adam Chatterton threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Greg Doucette took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. He allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out five and walking one.

Ipswich Chiefs totaled five hits in the game. Frey and Sam Blizard all collected multiple hits for Ipswich Chiefs. Blizard and Frey each collected two hits to lead Ipswich Chiefs.  Rowley Rams didn't commit a single error in the field. Lewi Lheureux had the most chances in the field with six.
