Topsfield 11 Rowley 8
Andrew Pomazon got his first win as a member of the Tories going the distance (7HITS, 7ER, 2BB, 1HBP, 1K). Rowley hit the ball hard all night scoring 4 in the first as Topsfield responded with 5 of their own. The Tories got some great defense from Eric Bunker (CF, 7PutOuts) as The Rams were connecting well but couldn't find a gap. The Tories later went for 6 runs in the sixth starting on a Ryan MacCarthy double (2/4 2doubles, 2runs) and ending on a Max Travers single (1/3, BB, 2rbi). The Rams threatened in the top of the seventh on a Mariani HR. The game was later called due to darkness and a little too much competitive fire between the teams. Topsfield will play Beverly tomorrow at Proctor and Rowley will play host to Ipswich.
