Beverly - 8, Rowley - 1

The Beverly Giants (7-5) beat the Rowley Rams (5-7) by the score of 8 to 1 Friday night.  The Giants scored four runs in the first inning and didn't look back.

Josh Levesque allowed 1 run over 6 innings for the victory. Lucas Shatford pitched a scoreless seventh inning. Ty Besse (2 for 4, 2R, SB), Kevin Harutunian (2 for 4, 2R, 2B, SB), Jeff Barricelli (1 for 3, 2RBI, 2B), and Levesque (1 for 3, 2R, 2B, SB) paced the offense.

For Rowley, D'agastino took the loss.  Silva was 1 for 2 with 2 walks, a run scored, and 3 stolen bases.

Beverly hosts Topsfield Sunday at Cooney Field and travels to Rowley Thursday.
