Rogers pitched six innings to earn the win. Weed allowed a one-out
double in the seventh, but recorded a strikeout and fly out with the
tying run in scoring position to earn the save. Drinkwater went the
distance for the Generals, allowing only one earned run in taking the
loss.
Weed led off the top of the seventh with a single, stole second and
third, and scored the winning run with two outs when a groundball was
booted by Hamilton. Hittinger had a key RBI double for the Tories in
the fourth. Maloney had three doubles for Hamilton. The two teams play
again tonight in Topsfield.
