Generals' Chandler No-Hits Chiefs

Mike Chandler came up big Thursday night for Hamilton at Patton Park as he pitched a complete game no-hitter with five strikeouts to lead the Generals to a 5-0 win over Ipswich.  Chandler faced just one batter over the minimum as one batter reached on an infield error in the third and another walked to lead off the sixth before a caught steeling erased the baserunner.  In the top of the seventh, Chandler got the leadoff batter to line out to line out to medium depth center and then put his hammer down by getting back to back strikeouts to end the game.  Bryan Vitale started at shortstop for a shorthanded Generals squad and turned in several nice plays to preserve the no-hitter.

Offensively for the Generals, Avon Stewart had two doubles and an RBI and Jimmy Parr hit a two-run double.
