Ipswich over Topsfield on Monday night

The Chiefs were able to secure a win in a rain shortened game on Monday night in Ipswich.  A combined pitching effort on both sides kept the game close until Ipswich broke it open in the bottom of the 4th.  Dylan Cain and Matt Small homered for Ipswich and Cain recorded the save getting three quick outs in the top of the 5th on ten pitches, just before the rain poured down in the bottom of the inning.  The two teams meet again on Friday in Topsfield.
