The Manchester-Essex Mariners beat the Topsfield Tories 7 to 3 last night in Topsfield. The Mariners were lead by Adam Philpott who pitched 6 innings, striking out 8 and Nate Bertolino who had a homer and three RBI's. Alex Ray also had 2 hits for the Mariners.

Travers and Cipriani each had 2 hits for Topsfield. BJ Weed pitched well in the loss, throwing 6 innings for the Tories.

Manchester-Essex improves to 13-1-1 while Topsfield drops to 4-10. The two teams meet again on Sunday in Essex for a doubleheader, first pitch 3:00pm.
