Beverly came from behind to beat Manchester 10 to 6. The Mariners took a 5 to 2 lead into the bottom of the 5th inning but Beverly erupted for 6 runs in an inning keyed by Derek Scialdone's homerun and Pat Doyle's long double to center. Manchester loaded the bases in the top of the 6th, but only managed one run. Beverly then got two insurance runs on a Jeff Barricelli homer in the bottom of the 6th. In the 7th Manchester loaded the bases but did not score.
Alex Manzi earned the win in relief. Charlie Choate was charged with the loss. Barricelli was 3 for 4 with 3RBI. Scialdone was 3 for 3 with one run knocked in. Doyle and Andy Hobin each knocked in two runs.
Joe Orlando (3 for 3), Bryan Lafata (3 for 3), and Charlie Choate (3 for 5) led the Manchester offense.
