Rowley (4-3) beat Beverly (2-4) by the score of 6 to 5 Tuesday night at Eiras Field. Beverly carried a 3 to 1 lead into the bottom of the 6th inning as Beverly's Joe Gill and Rowley's Matt Wile locked horns in a pitcher's duel. But, in the bottom of the 6th Rowley struck for 3 runs and took a 1 run lead. Renzulli, Chris Wile, and Warden had RBI singles in the inning.
Rowley brought on Dave Leavitt to close the game, but Beverly scored two runs to take a 5 to 4 lead into the bottom of the 7th. The big blow of the inning was a deep double by Jeff Giannino.
In the bottom half of the 7th, Rowley loaded the bases with two out. Chris Wile smacked a long drive into the right center gap to drive home two runs to win the game for the Rams.
Chris Wile was 3 for 4 with 4 runs knocked in on the night for the Rams. Walter also had 3 hits. For Beverly, Alex Manzi was 2 for 3 with an RBI and Giannino contributed 2 hits. Kyle Sewyck was charged with the loss.
