The Beverly Giants (7-5-1) scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 6th for a come from behind victory over the Topsfield Tories (1-11) Sunday night.
Topsfield led 5 to 3 heading into the bottom of the 6th when Pat Doyle led off with a solo homer to cut the lead in half. After an out was recorded, Topsfield's infield made two errors. Beverly then got RBI hits from Brian Chirco, Kevin Harutunian, Jeff Barricelli, and Derek Scialdone.
Harutunian also added a 2 run homer in the 2nd. Scialdone doubled twice and knocked in 2. Brian Chirco was 3 for 3 on the night.
Joe Gill started and alowed 5 runs (3 earned) over 5 innings while striking out 5. Sean Martin (2-0)earned the win with a scoreless 6th and Roger Dragani earned his 2nd save with a perfect 7th.
Matt Rogers was charged with the loss for Topsfield allowing 8 runs (4 earned) over 6 innings. Doug Hittinger led the offense going 2 for 3 with a HR and 3RBI. Zack Lampkin was 2 for 4 with an RBI and Mike Driscoll added a solo homer.
