Topsfield 6 Manchester/Essex 5

Tuesday evening in Essex the Tories and Mariners played a great ball game which saw a number of web gems from both sides as well as some timely hitting. Topsfield got on the board first with a 2 run homer from Doug Hittinger. The Tories quickly lost the lead to a great hitting Manchester team that seemed to find the gaps all night long. It wasn't until a Zach Lamkin grand slam in the 5th that Topsfield was able to regain the lead. Matt Rogers picked up the win in relief. The two teams will meet again on Friday at Proctor Field for their final meeting of the season.
